Deezil & Husky Foundation
At Art Box we are more than just a guesthouse, we PAY IT FORWARD … Owning a Husky has made me aware of dog fighting and how huskies in particular (due to their thick coats) are stolen to use as bait. In an endeavour to uplift dogs from impoverished communities, our initiative called Operation Deezil is paving the way for change. Centered around my husky Deezil, this project aims to inspire dog owners to provide the best care for their beloved pets. Recognizing that educating young children is the key to transforming attitudes, Operation Deezil employs positive and affirming methods, utilizing Deezil as the standard to which all dogs can aspire.
Paying it forward
Deezil, is the epitome of a well-balanced and contented dog. With his calm demeanor and wise spirit, he embodies what every dog should be: well-exercised, well-fed, and well-loved. Deezil's role as a mascot and shining example aims to inspire dog owners to provide the utmost care for their canine companions. By showcasing a healthy coat, freedom from worms, ticks, and fleas, and enjoying cosy nights indoors during winter, Deezil demonstrates the key to a truly happy dog. The mission behind Operation Deezil is to educate children about the physical and emotional lives of their pets. By fostering empathy and understanding, Operation Deezil aims to break the cycle of neglect and improve the overall well-being of dogs in impoverished areas. The initiative believes that by instilling these values at an early age, future generations will grow up with respect and compassion for their pets.
We are introducing a reward scheme where children can earn different versions of the Deezil mascot based on their achievements. A Silver Deezil will be awarded when tick and worm medicine is given, a Bronze Deezil when a dog receives a kennel and shelter without a chain, a Golden Deezil when a dog is neutered, and a Diamond Deezil when a dog is allowed to sleep indoors, particularly during cold winter months.
To further support Operation Deezil's cause, we will be creating a range of Deezil-themed products, including dog beds, blankets, collars, leads, and children's clothing and jackets. These items will proudly feature Deezil the Husky, reminding everyone of the importance of loving and caring for our furry companions.
